Cancelling takes under a minute, but there are three details worth knowing before you do it.
Steps
- Go to midjourney.com and sign in with the Discord account that holds the subscription.
- Open Manage Sub.
- Select Cancel Plan and confirm.
- You will receive a Stripe email confirming the cancellation. Keep it — it is your proof of the cancellation date.

What happens next
- Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period; you keep fast hours until then.
- Your gallery is not deleted. Images remain downloadable after the plan lapses.
- Commercial usage rights granted while subscribed do not disappear, but new generations stop.
- Any stealth-mode images from a Pro plan become visible again if you drop to a plan without stealth.
Refunds
Midjourney offers a refund only if you have generated very few images in the current period — the account page shows a refund button when you qualify. Once you have generated beyond that threshold the period is non-refundable.
If cancellation will not go through
A stale session is the usual culprit. Sign out, clear cookies for midjourney.com, sign back in and retry. If the button still fails, see Midjourney payment failed or card declined and raise a billing ticket.
