Midjourney Website Generation Stuck: How to Fix

Progress bars that freeze at 0%, jobs that never appear, and gallery sync failures on midjourney.com.

Updated August 13, 2026

The midjourney.com web app streams job progress over a websocket. When that connection breaks, jobs look stuck even though they are running server-side.

First: check whether the job actually ran

Open your archive or run /info in Discord. If the image exists there, only the live view failed — refresh and it will appear.

Fix the connection

  1. Disable VPNs, proxies and DNS filters. These break websockets more often than anything else.
  2. Turn off ad blockers and privacy extensions for midjourney.com.
  3. Clear site data, then sign in again with the correct Discord account.
  4. Try incognito, then a second browser.
  5. On corporate networks, ask whether outbound websocket traffic is filtered — switching to a phone hotspot confirms it in seconds.

Genuinely stuck jobs

  • Cancel and resubmit once; cancelled jobs are not billed.
  • Peak relax-mode queues can exceed ten minutes. Switch to fast mode for time-sensitive work.
  • If every job across both Discord and the website stalls, it is an outage: Midjourney is down or not loading.
